After qualifying on pole, winning both races and setting a new Formula Vee lap record at Zwartkops, Michael Taylor flew to Germany overnight to take part in a Formula Vee event at Nurburgring. He left OR Tambo International Airport at 7:00pm, arrived in Germany at 06:00am and was strapped into the car for qualifying by 09:00am. Not only was it his first time at the track, it was also the first time he'd driven the car yet he got stuck in and qualified second fastest. In the race he finished second overall and winner of the Index of Performance and winner of the Team Prize with car owner Joachim Lutz. This coming weekend the 15-year old will compete in the Rok International Cup at Lonato, Italy.
